Baryshnikova Manor

Moscow, Myasnitskaya Street, 42.

The Baryshnikova Mansion, designed by Matvei Kazakov and completed in 1802, is recognised as one of the leading masterpieces of Moscow classicism.

From the early 19th century to the present day, the mansion, which has contributed to the social and cultural life of Moscow, has been one of the places frequently visited by well-known figures of the city, from politicians to writers, business people to bureaucrats.

Now serving as the head office of Argumenty i Fakty, one of Russia's leading media outlets, and also hosting business meetings, press activities and various cultural events, the venue is located in the very centre of Moscow, a twenty-minute walk from the Kremlin.

The appearance of the mansion has remained virtually unchanged over the years. The decorative surfaces of the interiors, such as ceiling paintings, reliefs and columns, continue to attract visitors.
